Fundamentals of spoken and written Arabic for the bilingual speaker. This course is designed to help Arabic-speaking students further improve their oral and written communication skills. Emphasis on writing, reading comprehension, and vocabulary building. Expose to the diversity within the cultures of the Arabic, speaking world. This course is designed to provide the bilingual speaker with the linguistic and learning skills required for successfully completing upper division course in Arabic. The course will be taught in Arabic.
Dr. Noha Ireiqat achieved a Doctorate Degree in Educational Leadership and Management from Alliant International University in San Diego, California. She obtained a Master of Arts in Teaching with a specialization in teaching and learning from National University in San Diego. She was the recipient of the Foreign Language Council of San Diego Outstanding Service Award in 2011 and was recognized at the California Language Teacher’s Association as the Outstanding Teacher of the Year in 2014.
Dr. Noha Ireiqat currently teaches Arabic and English as a Second Language courses at Cuyamaca College. She is the Director of the Arabic Program at Bright Horizon Academy. She has been teaching Arabic and English languages within the K–14 contexts for the past 20 years in different schools in the United States and overseas.
