 About Us

The Cuyamaca College Transfer Center utilizes an equity-minded approach in preparing students for a smooth and successful transition from community college to baccalaureate-level institute. The Transfer Center is a resource center that provides these primary services:

  • Transferring to most four-year institutions requires students to move through two "gates". The first "gate" is admission to the university, and the second "gate" is the academic department. The Transfer Center is instrumental in helping students move through the first "gate". The Transfer Center provides limited support with the second "gate", which is why instructional faculty can be instrumental with connecting students with their future academic departments and professors.
  • The Transfer Center regularly informs the college community of new and changing transfer information and requirements. The Transfer Center coordinates the Annual Transfer Advisory Board meetings.
  • The Transfer Center offers events such as Annual Transfer Fairs and the Annual Transfer Achievement Celebration.
  • Students have access to an online current catalog collection of California public universities, articulation agreements, CSU and UC admissions applications, and private colleges. In addition, the Center has a computer lab, which allows students access to university web pages, transfer and articulation information.
  • The Transfer Center provides individual academic planning, transfer application reviews to CSU, UC, and private institutions, UC TAG (Transfer Admission Guarantee) reviews, provides information on the TAG program to UC's, SDSU, HBCU, and Degree with a Guarantee (ADT) to the CSU system, next steps after admission, denied admission appeal, and unique and complex transfer questions.
  • The Transfer Center provides students with access to various university representatives including our local four-year institutions.
  • All services and events are listed in our e-newsletters and are distributed twice a year.
