How To Access the Placement Questionnaire & Online Advising

_{After you have completed your Online Orientation you will have access to the Placement Questionnaire & Online Advising.}

Below you will find directions and a How-To video to help you complete the Placement Questionnaire & Online Advising for Grossmont or Cuyamaca.

The Placement Questionnaire provides students with a real time placement, as well as Math and English placement results based on their former & current high school coursework.

Additionally, the online advising module provides first-time students the opportunity to create an Abbreviated Education Plan (one semester ed plan) based on their placement results & current academic goals. After completing the questionnaire & the online advising module you will have created a plan of classes for your first semester at Cuyamaca or Grossmont College.

Please keep in mind that creating an online Abbreviated Education Plan does not register you for the classes that you have selected in the online module. Rather, the education plan you have created is a tool to be used during your summer or fall registration appointment.

Lastly, we suggest you reference the PowerPoint below to assist you throughout the process of completing these modules.

Placement Questionnaire - Math and English Placement

Visit WebAdvisor & log into your WebAdvisor account
Once logged in, select the blue “Student Menu” tab
On the bottom left-hand side of the screen, under “Orientation/Placement/Advising” select Step Two – Placement Questionnaire
- Be sure to answer this as accurately as possible as you get only one opportunity to complete the questionnaire

How to Complete Online Placement Questionnaire

Advising

Visit WebAdvisor and log-in to your WebAdvisor
Once logged in, select the blue “Student Menu” tab
On the bottom left-hand side of the screen, under “Orientation/Placement/Advising” select Step Three – Online Advising and complete the online advising session
- Be sure you receive a copy of your Education Plan! On your registration date, you will use this as a guide when selecting classes
