Diane Stoltz

Diane had worked 13 years with City of San Diego Fleet Services when she decided to go back to school to complete her education. With her strong mechanical background, counselors directed her to the Water & Wastewater Technology Program at Cuyamaca College. Diane started at the beginning and progressively took as many of the WWTR classes as she could manage. In just over 2 years, she earned A.S. Degrees in Water Resources Management, Water Distribution Systems, Water Treatment Plant Operator, and Backflow and Cross Connection Control. She also earned an A.A in Arts and Humanities and an A.S. in Science and Mathematics.
Diane’s work experience WWTR290 was at Viejas Public Works Department, and her ability as an equipment operator confirmed she had chosen the right industry. She was eventually hired on as a seasonal Water Technician, and then accepted a temporary position with Olivenhain Municipal Water District as a Cathodic Protection Technician. She currently works at Ramona Municipal Water District as a Conservation & Cross-Connection Control Specialist, where she utilizes all of her combined experience, skills, and education. Diane holds certifications in California SWRCB D3 and T2, and American Backflow Prevention Association (APBA) Cross Connection Control Specialist and Backflow Tester.
With her knowledge, work experience, and industry certifications, Diane was accepted as an instructor in the Center for Water Studies Program in 2018 and now teaches Cross-Connection Control Specialist and Cross Connection Control Specialist-Reclaimed Water.
